I first became familiar with Stephen Arnold when I started here at KTWO some six years ago. Since then, I have come to rely on Stephen Arnold to provide cutting edge music for our newscasts and promotions, including special customized pieces and intros that can be found no where else. Aerial’s sound is strong and forceful, but also elegant and flowing, with that bite that makes it stand out.

  4. Jeff Raker May 16, 2011 at 12:14 pm

I have used Stephen Arnold Music (SAM) packages at my last four stations. Each time SAM has given our station an individual sound signature that is distinctive and unique. After listening to the new “Aerial” package I believe SAM has done it again. Congratulations on another outstanding composition.

I really enjoy Stephen Arnold music. They really do have their finger on the pulse of today’s television needs. I’ve recommended them to other station CSD’s and will continue to do so. They are priced right and really elevate themselves to their customers needs.

    Keep up the great work!

Great sonic branding… The 4 notes at the top defineltly get stuck in your head.

  23. Dave Ward May 16, 2011 at 9:20 am

Very clean and crisp. I likethat it has the feel of a traditional news package but brings that into the 21st Century. This is music that won’t sound dated for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time.

  24. Greg Easterly May 16, 2011 at 9:15 am

Good variety while keeping the signature theme.

  25. Sean P. Dixon May 16, 2011 at 9:15 am

Great sounding package. More great work from Stephen Arnold!

  28. Bob St Charles May 16, 2011 at 9:12 am

I like the big market feel of this and would be interested in getting costs. Would you be able to break it out as a custom so I don’t have to pay for tracks I wouldn’t use?

  29. Spelt Joatmon May 15, 2011 at 10:41 pm

Great Sound on both ! Sure do like the wall!

  30. Jim Thomas May 15, 2011 at 11:39 am

Thanks for the chance to win that beautiful sounding instrument. Best wishes.

  31. allguitarblog May 15, 2011 at 8:25 am

Martin guitars certainly have a great tone. I know somebody who only plays Martin, and refuses to use anything else.

Most of my focus in music has been electric styles, but I have been getting back into acoustic more. It would be sweet to have a prize guitar like that.

  32. Scott Thomas May 15, 2011 at 12:11 am

Nice clean sound. Wish we used it at my station.

OK, now the game, “What does the signature stand for?”
    How about…

    > We’ve Got Your News
    > It’s All Brand New
    > Put On Some Shoes

  33. Jon Doss May 13, 2011 at 1:03 pm

This is some really good stuff.

  34. Jim Blue May 12, 2011 at 8:52 pm

I like the four note signature. It reminds me of some of the classic news themes of the past.

  35. John Mercer May 12, 2011 at 2:26 pm

Great giveaway. I’ve always wanted a Martin, so I hope I win!

  36. Evelyn Delcerro May 12, 2011 at 11:27 am

Very strong attention-grabbing beats with a modern flair. Nice job!

  37. Loku May 12, 2011 at 10:32 am

    Killer sound 😀

  38. Hank Zito May 12, 2011 at 10:03 am

Fresh. A great clutter-cutter. Would be a great addition to any editor’s toolbox.

  39. Scott Blum May 12, 2011 at 8:29 am

Fantastic package. Solid, Forcefull sound that sets the stage for a great presentation of News, Weather etc.

    Sounds like ratings!

  40. Jonathan Oh May 11, 2011 at 11:42 pm

This is a good music package. It has a distinct signature with a full sound. I like the mix of electric sounds along with an orchestral background on certain versions of the package. Nicely produced… hopefully it is going to be a hit!

  41. Dave Bradley May 11, 2011 at 7:15 pm

Definitely among the top that I have seen!

  42. Eric Dahl May 11, 2011 at 6:18 pm

Definitely attention grabbing music with great dynamics. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the demo now and seeing you guys at Promax! Also I assume the Martin will fit in an overhead to fly it back to Nashville?

  43. Kent Domingue May 11, 2011 at 6:13 pm

    Nice sound…like it…

  44. Joel Scarbrough May 11, 2011 at 5:51 pm

Great stuff as always, lot’s of texture and a good classic signature. Don’t you think the 5 string would fit in well? Maybe a chromatic run? Good job.

  45. Danny May 11, 2011 at 5:04 pm

    It isn’t working!!!!

  46. Michael Riddle May 11, 2011 at 4:36 pm

I especially like the prominence of the guitar is several of the selections.
Hey… I think you’re Martin is better than my Martin. I’m ready for an upgrade!

  47. David Toma May 11, 2011 at 4:25 pm

  48. Jon Garcia May 11, 2011 at 3:41 pm

Yep. One more note than NBC and it works.

That’s one more note than NBC!

  52. Rick Swanson May 11, 2011 at 2:21 pm

Sweet package, soaring and powerful. I also love the Martin. Will you provide lessons?

  53. Tory Hooton May 11, 2011 at 1:28 pm

I like the feel it is a bit more dramatic and emotional then some other news packages:) the 4 note theme is powerful and memorable… listing to all the variations started bringing up feelings of fast food themes… but that is the problem with any “jingle” 🙂

  54. Sam Day May 11, 2011 at 11:21 am

    I like it 🙂

  55. Randy Cassimus May 11, 2011 at 10:31 am

    4 notes across America.

  56. Bill Downs May 11, 2011 at 9:20 am

Agree with Scott, sounds like Ratings….even better…sounds like Revenue!!

  57. Mike Stanford May 11, 2011 at 8:25 am

Great Sonic Brand, you’ve done it again!

  58. Gregory Suchanek May 11, 2011 at 7:46 am

Powerful, Authoritative, and sounds like the brand of a News Leader in any market. I am impressed. Thanks, Greg

  59. Tad Frank May 11, 2011 at 7:21 am

Great departure from traditional news sound. Do lessons come with the guitar?

  60. Jeff Whitson May 10, 2011 at 7:58 pm

  69. Eric Wotila May 10, 2011 at 2:38 pm

Very nice. Same quality we’ve come to expect from Stephen Arnold.

  80. Brian Birk May 9, 2011 at 6:52 pm

Nice, Mnemonic without being obtrusive. I see KBMT in Beaumont TX is using your music. I worked there almost 20 years ago.

  81. Scott Larkin May 9, 2011 at 5:21 pm

I hate to be negative, but it really didn’t do a whole lot for me. Take it with a grain of salt though… I’m from an NBC station where I like to hear the G-E-C incorporated into our news themes.

  82. Chris Pruitt May 9, 2011 at 5:06 pm

I used you guys in the past at several of my stations when I was with my previous company. I always thought your material was superior to your competitors. What i like most about your news music is it sounds authoritative and has high impact. The four notes in one piece on this collection screams “Braking News”! Can’t wait to get you guys to work here in Idaho.

  83. David Connor May 9, 2011 at 4:54 pm

Nice work Stephen & crew! Hope to catch up with you guys at Promax this year.

Great vibe and sound! Keep it up guys!

  88. Tom Moses May 9, 2011 at 3:16 pm

Strong Music Package! Great Sound as always.

  89. Mark May 9, 2011 at 3:02 pm

Fresh, bright, punchy and smooth. A versatile, well done piece of work from what I hear on this brief demo.

  90. Ricky Bustamante May 9, 2011 at 2:37 pm

I like the variations on a theme, well done. I like the sport spot with the guitar infusion, Rocking!

  91. Mark Baumert May 9, 2011 at 1:50 pm

This is another example of an SA theme that my wife would whistle while she was working around the house. She already whistle’s Stravinsky!

  92. Kimay Bloch May 9, 2011 at 1:34 pm

    Excellent-very professional and graceful!

  93. Larry Doyle May 9, 2011 at 1:31 pm

Those four notes get stuck in your head immediately… and that’s what you need in a news theme!

  94. David Starling May 9, 2011 at 10:59 am

I really like this theme- clean, regal and strong. Very sleek and professional sounding.

  95. Scott Blum May 9, 2011 at 8:58 am

Fantastic package. Solid, Forcefull sound that sets the stage for a great presentation of News, Weather etc.

    Sounds like ratings!

  99. Dave Medley May 4, 2011 at 4:42 pm
