It really captures the Spirit of how news should be conveyed, accurate and trusted by North Texas Families. A news team that is as transparent as their studio, keeping families informed at a moments notice.
Its like explaining channel 8’s message in another language, the music language. 🙂
Great job using the music to send the message.

    All the Best

  44. Matt Roach January 24, 2013 at 5:51 pm

I don’t much about audio/visual packages. But that video made me miss my hometown of Dallas.
So, I guess that part worked, right?

  45. Cory Bayle- Creative Services Director KAMR NBC 4, Amarillo, Texas January 24, 2013 at 4:05 pm

This is the kind of image campaign I can sing along with— in the hallways, the in car, and in the shower! Makes you feel good inside about living in your hometown. This would be a FANTASTIC image campaign to compliment our new music, “The Rock.” Keep it up SAM!

  46. Joel Scarbrough January 24, 2013 at 3:56 pm

Wow. What energy! I like you showing the girl performing the song. It puts quite a bit of reality to the promo, something I have not seen in a while. Great track, great images. It all makes you very proud of Dallas and WFAA. It’s a winner!

    • Chad January 29, 2013 at 3:24 pm

Thanks Joel – You need to stop by and say hello soon seeing as you are just down the road. Good luck!

  49. Wendy Bernier January 24, 2013 at 1:26 pm

I can visualize so many different “shots” to accompany this track! Fun, fresh, and a sound that includes the community as “part of the team”. Thank you for sharing, Wendy Bernier, KVLY/KXJB Fargo

  50. Brandon January 24, 2013 at 1:06 pm

    Great sound! Love the feeling!

  51. Donald Haener, KOLR/KOZL-TV, Springfield, MO. January 24, 2013 at 10:44 am

The jingle, “This is the Place,” breaks the stereotypical mold for singing campaigns. It’s “contemporary” and “fresh.” The acoustical instrumentation gives the jingle “lightness” and makes me perceive that everything is “moving-forward.” Thank you, Stephen Arnold, for sharing this with us. -Donald Haener, KOLR/KOZL Promotions Manager, Springfield, MO 417.840.3705

    • Stephen January 29, 2013 at 7:32 pm

Hey Don- Thanks for the kind words… Yeah- it’s fun doing the acoustic stuff – even though the guitars in the contest are all electric.. hmmm – go figure- hope all is well!

  52. Tim Irvine January 24, 2013 at 9:18 am

What a great connection between music, vocals and visual. This music and singer make you feel like you want to be a part of something. Major Kudos!

  53. John Gormally, GM January 24, 2013 at 3:22 am

Nice campaign. Reminds me of selling Coke! And we all know how successul those campaigns have been. Number one drink in the world. The point I am making is that only good creative content will get viewers’ attention and allow them those few precious moments to digest your message. Nice stuff Arnold. I wil be telling my creative staff to review this for our next news promotion campaign.

    • Stephen January 29, 2013 at 7:14 pm

Hey John- Yeah – it was fun doing an actual song… a verse… a chorus.. and yup… a hook- whew – sometimes those things get lost in the deadlines we all have. Thanks so much for the kind words!
